The Democratic chief aim is to defund ICE. A bill which defunds ICE meets their chief aim. It isn't some kind of "compromise".

If the one thing that matters is the item which is the cornerstone of the Democrats' entire shutdown tantrum, it's still a Democratic shutdown.

ICE needs reining in. This is basically the only option they have. Nevermind that ICE is already funded, its not like their funding has also elapsed. A lack of willingness to compromise by the Republican House is the culprit here, thr Senate was willing to make a deal.

The moral position doesn't matter to the "whose shutdown is it" debate, and if the Democrats want to defund ICE, they can try with whatever means they think they have at their disposal. But it's their shutdown.

Lack of willingness on the part of a majority party to submit to the minority party =/= lack of willingness to compromise. "Compromise" would be the Democrats offering something Republicans want in exchange. What has been offered?

At the end the day, the daily lives of lower middle class to middle class families are being f*cked around by the millionaires on both sides of the aisle.

As a very pro-business individual I do believe that this is the case. The stress that the average TSA worker must be under is no joke. Missed mortgage payments, car payments, having to stand in line for free food and free groceries, not being able to pay the sports fees for your kids or have them attend sport team travel events, possibly having your credit score being wiped out, etc, etc, etc.

Its these issues and everyday examples like this, that are occurring with greater frequency and duration, that highlight why I believe our government system is head and shoulders above the US's.

Where these protests don’t run more than a day at a time, I am not sure they will convince Republican & government establishment that the public really demands change. They are drawing some big names to the events though.

Most farmers care very much about the weather.

I thought it curious that someone decided a Fendt tractor was a good choice. While US owned now, it is originally a German company. Why not dyed in the wool American originals like John Deere or CaseIH? I suspect someone figured the 'dt' in the name would catch the boss' eye.
