Hey if a book reviewer for the WSJ can be a "Journalist" why can't he?

He can, and broadly speaking, is. What he has primarily been for the last while is a news reader.

what if he is writing everything he reads on TV? Is your position that for his over 20 years working at 60 minutes all he did was read a script?

First, I doubt he's writing much of the material, let alone everything. Second, I'm sure he has done more than read scripts in his career.

But right now the fight he chose to frame is that the people in charge aren't, somehow, qualified - morally if not professionally - to fire his insubordinate ass.

perhaps the people who the owners of CBS put in place in order to curry favor with the trump administration so that their merger would get approved might not be professionally qualified.
