Because luxury is the most important consideration for AF1...

From the link:

Only if they are able to draw in visitors who actually spend money to cover your opulent spending; as well refraining from making enemies with contractors (Cosa Nostra) who are crucial for repairs and maintaining the ambience.

Add to it that Atlantic City is nowhere near the draw that Vegas is, you lose a lot of money.

Where Trump managed to dodge a bullet was that he put up little to no money when he started them, made the casinos public and passed the risk on to shareholders after the first bankruptcy, and then pulled his money out before everything went belly up.

After seeing how this second term is going, I see he's following the same playbook with "America" Inc.

Oh hell yeah...

Canadian lawyers urge crackdown over Alabama prison labour imports

Competition Bureau complaint alleges products made with forced labour

This should absolutely be in play. Facts are facts and if the facts establish U.S. prison labour is contributing to our supply chain in contravention of the law, that must be remedied. Obviously that must be alongside a concerted campaign against all other forced labour inputs too.

I am not sure we can handle the diplomatic fallout from that. Excludes a lot of trading partners.
