The messaging on here by some has been disturbing and even sickening. I've been meaning to pose a hypothetical question to some folks here, but I'll avoid pointing any direct fingers and just say it general.

In a hypothetical situation where you had to chose two options: A. 10 more years of Trudeau, or B. Canada is immediately annexed by the US. If you would pick B, and especially if you wear/wore a Canadian uniform, then I believe your decription @PrairieFella is accurate. Heck, I'm pretty sure someone would pick B even if option A was PP as PM, and that makes me sick.

Of course, in most countries, you'll need a travel insurance plan for short visits for up to one year or an international medical insurance plan if you want long-term medical coverage for a year or more to access these services.

According to this assessment, what country has the best healthcare? Singapore comes in at number one. Japan and South Korea came in 2nd and 3rd. In this assessment, the United States came in 69th.

As I said, depends on who you ask and what version of events you've take as fact.

The speed of the capitulation of Quebec and Montreal has been a sore point for many Québécois, but came very vocal during the Quiet Revolution. It was posited that there must have been subversion or sedition, because who would do such a thing?!

Conversely, the generous terms the Québécois received in the Treaty of Paris 1763, and the subsequent Quebec Act 1774, lead to even more dissatisfaction from other British subjects (including those in the Thirteen Colonies for whom we speak of now).

Overlay that situation with one in 1813, when the U.S. tried to claim the Québécois and Americans had the same enemy at the Battle of Chateauguay; well Charles de Salaberry answered pretty plainly with a musketball to the chest a rider under a flag of truce.

Discussing this with my daughters boyfriend from the US, he works in the US medical system. We said; "Canada is likley to kill you, but the US is likley to bankrupt you"
