There have been 19 FBI employees terminated the past year for lack of candor. Is Andrew McCabe any different from these people? Lack of candor is a serious offense. If anyone suggests that President Trump influenced the Inspector General to find McCabe lied under oath and then further to sway the Office Of Professional Responsibility then they should bring the evidence forward to the proper authorities. Feelings don't count in this one. Just because you think it doesn't mean it's true.

The FBI was portrayed as caving under that pressure, and making decisions for political rather than law enforcement purposes. Nothing was further from the truth.

The text messages from those two FBI agents investigating Clinton seemed to suggest otherwise.

Democratic groups allied with Hillary Clinton poured money into the state senate campaign of McCabe's wife while the FBI was investigating Clinton's use of a private email server as secretary of state, thus buying improperly soft treatment from the bureau.

I remember that. No conflict of interest there.

Not to agree or disagree, but do you have a source?

All I found was this,
https://twitter.com/JakeBGibson/status/974842486815444992

If true,

How many were investigating the Russians?

How many were objects of POTUS ire? Asked who they voted for? Called their wives losers?

Did POTUS tweet about any of them before firing, and take a victory lap on Twitter immediately after?

How many were fired at 10 PM on a Friday night, 26 hours before retirement?

The report documenting McCabe’s alleged misconduct was not made public. Instead, Sessions released a statement with vague assertions of wrongdoing.

The only relevant known fact is that McCabe is a key witness against POTUS.

The man was retiring Sunday.

And the president repeatedly called for his firing to happen before he could retire.

Incredibly petty.

And of this was any other president it would be big news,  but under Trump its just a minor subplot of season 1, but after claiming he doesn't know who stormy Daniels is,  never met her,  never had an affair,  his lawyers are looking to sue her for 20 million dollars for breaking her NDA.

17 March, 2017

Former CIA Director (2013-17)  John O. Brennan had this to say,

"When the full extent of your venality, moral turpitude, and political corruption becomes known, you will take your rightful place as a disgraced demagogue in the dustbin of history. You may scapegoat Andy McCabe, but you will  not destroy America...America will triumph over you."

McCabe knew he did wrong and was racing to retirement.  The FBI’s own OPR recommended his firing.  The IG, OPR, AG were involved in this decision.  There must be serious wrong doings here and I bet this is the tip of the iceberg.

It's quite simple, Andrew McCabe broke the rules as determined by a long investigation. It doesn't matter what anybody else did. Should you let it slide just because, you know, the guy has a pension he should get.

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-sessions-statement/statement-by-attorney-general-on-firing-of-fbis-mccabe-idUSKCN1GT04O

Here is the statement issued by Sessions:

After an extensive and fair investigation and according to Department of Justice procedure, the Department’s Office of the Inspector General (OIG) provided its report on allegations of misconduct by Andrew McCabe to the FBI’s Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR).

The FBI’s OPR then reviewed the report and underlying documents and issued a disciplinary proposal recommending the dismissal of Mr. McCabe.  Both the OIG and FBI OPR reports concluded that Mr. McCabe had made an unauthorized disclosure to the news media and lacked candor − including under oath − on multiple occasions.

The FBI expects every employee to adhere to the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and accountability.  As the OPR proposal stated, ‘all FBI employees know that lacking candor under oath results in dismissal and that our integrity is our brand.’

Pursuant to Department Order 1202, and based on the report of the Inspector General, the findings of the FBI Office of Professional Responsibility, and the recommendation of the Department’s senior career official, I have terminated the employment of Andrew McCabe effective immediately.”

Former CIA Director (2013-17)  John O. Brennan had this to say,

When the head of a drone program that's killed thousands of innocent people including children calls you a bad man you must really be a bad man.

Exactly.  *If* the guy broke the rules, repeatedly, then he deserved to be fired whether he's retiring or not.

It doesn't help with the president constantly talking shit and undoubtedly makes investigating 10x harder, including  appearing like its a vendetta.  Then again if the rank and file think that guy was a shitty boss then maybe Trumps public jabs against the guy would improve their moral.

If true,

2. How many were investigating the Russians?

3. How many were objects of POTUS ire? Asked who they voted for? Called their wives losers?

4. Did POTUS tweet about any of them before firing, and take a victory lap on Twitter immediately after?

5. How many were fired at 10 PM on a Friday night, 26 hours before retirement?

6. The report documenting McCabe’s alleged misconduct was not made public. Instead, Sessions released a statement with vague assertions of wrongdoing.

7. The only relevant known fact is that McCabe is a key witness against POTUS.

1. That was the link I posted. You can look up Jake Gibson of Fox News and decide if he is credible or not. You can inquire at your usual news sources and maybe not find it, not all sources carry everything.

2. He was not investigating the Russians, he was on terminal leave.

3. Doesn't matter, it was not POTUS decision, it was The Department Of Justice.

4. That doesn't mean President Trump had any input into the process.

5. Probably none of them.

6. Yes, the report is not yet public. It will be. Those are not vague assertions. AG Sessions cited all the references is coming to his conclusion. he needed to act and he did just that.

7. Going back to 1. If Andrew McCabe is a key witness against President Trump how can he investigate the Russians? Shouldn't he have been recused for conflict of interest.

I see a conspiracy theory developing here. It must be Trump since it's his style. No evidence need be brought forward.

‘A slip up’; White House ‘not happy’ with Trump lawyer Dowd’s disastrous statement on dumping Mueller

If President Trump had wanted this wouldn't he just post it on Twitter? As you know he doesn't beat around the bush, he goes straight for the throat, he doesn't need a lawyer to speak for him.

Here's another Tweet to add courtesy of Rep Eric Swalwell. I wonder what he knows that nobody else does.
Gloat now, but you will be fired soon. And it’s not going to be done cowardly, as you’ve done to so many who’ve served you. There’s a storm gathering, Mr. President, and it’s going to wipe out you and your corrupt organization all the way down to the studs.

A Democrat calling for Trump to be fired? Colour me shocked.
