Starmer is in a world of hurt.

He was already unpopular.

Now he has been dragged along behind two pedophile cases - the UK ambassador to the US Mandelsson who has ties to Epstein and another guy, and now Lord Doyle, who was one of Starmer's spin-doctors who punted for an accused pedophile running for office in the UK. Starmers' office pushed to have both Mandelsson and Doyle diplomatic positions without any screening.

And his party don't like him no more.

There are municipal elections across the UK on May 7th. If Labour does as poorly as everybody expects then that is a traditional opportunity to get rid of a useless leader on Party grounds.

Starmer is also buggering around with Diego Garcia, Cyprus, the Chinese Embassy in London and many, many more.

....

Meanwhile, runners and riders.

The Corbynite Wing and the Blairite Wing (Trots and Fabians).

The Chancellor, Rachel Reeves, is more towards the centrist Blairite faction. She has been writing checks to every Labour Union and cause since she got the job at minister of finance but couldn't find any money for defence. She was also an adamant supporter of Ed Milliband and Net Zero, pet projects of Starmer.

She has now distanced herself from Starmer, is promising to start sucking the last drop of oil from the British North Sea rather than buying it from the Norwegian North Sea, and has suddenly discovered War Bonds as a means for financing the Forces without upsetting the recipients of the dole, the unions and the pensioners.

Meanwhile the Corbynite faction is represented by Angela Rayner, the workers friend, who has been busy raising minimum wages and employment insurance premiums paid by employers, as well as ensuring that nobody can ever be fired again. She has allied herself with the aforementioned Ed Millband who has just declared he will never authorize pumping more oil as that would be an act of environmental vandalism.

The curious part is that the UK's process PM, who apparently believes that he can't influence anything because "process", also believes that Milliband and Milliband alone, one of his cabinet ministers who he appointed, can legally determine UK energy policy.

Rayner was Deputy Prime Minister and Deputy Leader of the Labour Party, until it was found out that she paid to pay some taxes due on a real estate transaction on a second or third house she owned. She then resigned from all Party and Government positions but retained her seat as an MP.

Please do me a favour. Take the UK's current travails as examples of the Canada you do not want to become.
