Consider this:Is this a preemptive strike, making excuses for a harris' loss? Are you going to be able to make it through four years in the Deeply Fractured US thread with evidence this thin?
It's a minor programming issue that ONLY affects machines designed for people with disabilities. When you start the voting process, you have the option to select "straight-party vote" (selecting all candidates from the same party for all elections), or "split-party". The issue is that if you select straight-party, but the select candidates from different parties, you get an error message, and and then you have to go correct that error. It's an inconvenience.
How do you claim that a tiny portion of the population in a small fraction of cases among them having to go back and un-check a tick-box would sway the election? So a voting machine problem, that could possibly skew the election results, is just an inconvenience. Good to know.

Reading this (from the article), it’s more of an “are you sure you want to do this?” Issue like on Windows. If a VAT user votes straight party and then splits their ticket, they will receive an error message, but will have the chance to fix it and still cast a ballot.
Well, it's actually supposed to.Reading this (from the article), it’s more of an “are you sure you want to do this?” Issue like on Windows.
The bigger issue would be if it allowed you to split ticket after you said you wanted to vote straight party.
I'll retract my previous statement. You shouldve explained it like that the first time.Well, it's actually supposed to.
On the non VAT machines, if you select straight-party, and then proceed to change some of the selections to someone from a different party, it then automatically de-selects the "straight-party" tick-box. Kind of like how in many electronic lists (e.g. contact lists, emails, etc), where you can select or check-box each item in the list, there is often a box at the top that says "select all", and when you click that, it auto-selects everything in the list. If you then go and un-check/un-select one of the items, the "select all" box un-checks itself.
I still believe he suffered a psychotic break when he lost the last election and it’s just been a train wreck ever since.Donald Trump’s cognitive decline becoming a troubling concern
Americans from both sides of the political spectrum should be alarmed by Trump’s words and behavior. The nation must confront the fact that beyond his hateful character, he is crippled cognitively ...lasvegassun.com
The Las Vegas Sun has pen see a rather devastating editorial detailing evidence of Trump’s significant recent cognitive decline, and emphasizing the risk of Vance as essentially a Manchurian candidate beholden to other interests, and simply awaiting Trump’s mental incapacitation. The piece points out the increasing risk of a debilitated Trump being vulnerable to manipulation by both domestic and foreign interests as he has an increasingly difficult time keeping it together and functioning through admitted fatigue.
All of the concerns that were brought up about Biden’s unsuitability on grounds of cognitive decline are equally valid for Trump, and evidence of that continues to mount. He’s 78 and in decline. He’s not in mental shape to capably and effectively serve out a four year term, and it’s getting worse.
What is your reading of the lifespan of Maga after the demise of Trump?I still believe he suffered a psychotic break when he lost the last election and it’s just been a train wreck ever since.
Interesting take on Vance, it does explain his various ‘versions’.
To be fair, I’ve heard that take on Vance since he did the pivot towards MAGA.I still believe he suffered a psychotic break when he lost the last election and it’s just been a train wreck ever since.

While I believe Trump is a fascist, he's what I would call an "ignorant person who's personalities and desires align with fascist tendencies and ideologies."I still believe he suffered a psychotic break when he lost the last election and it’s just been a train wreck ever since.
