Want to join the army this summer.

I am completing my studies and I've been thinking about the military for a long time, and thought about joining for several years now.
I am planning to join the combat arms. Here are my questions:
Is the military looking more for reservists or regular soldiers for year 2011?
Which trade is looking for people?
Any advice for someone who is kind of bad at interviews?

Hello there,

So far trades are pretty full at the moment. Reserve recruitment is dependent on your local reserve unit availability and recruitment quotas so check the individual units first.  Regulars, as far I'm informed are pretty occupied. I'm in the GTA area and I've been waiting since Nov 09' for Reserves. Best thing you should do is check your Local Canadian Forces Recruiting centre (CFRC). At the moment I'm positive that the Canadian Forces attrition rates < POTENTIAL recruits. But for the most accurate information plan a visit to your CFRC they'll inform you on everything you need.

You should get down to the recruit centre and get the ball rolling.  Regardless of the direction you go, it takes a long time to go through the process.  Keep your eye open around April 1st 2011 as that is when the CF announces its needs.
