Wearing Glasses in the infantry...

I currently have been told that i now by law have to wear glasses when i drive a vehicle. I also wear them at school for seeing the blackboard and distances.

I was talkin to a recruiter and he made it sound liek theres no place in the infantry for me. He was sayin itd be to much of a liability to have me on a mission cause when it got sandy, rainy or if i was running out of a building and my glasses broke id be useless.

Does anyone here wear them and if so what are your experiences with them?

I am in the Infantry Reserve and have glasses, as do many other guys I work with.  Doesnt seem to be much of a problem.
