yep.... so i showed up today in anticipation for my testing...

finished up the aptitude test (only 3 of us in the room), had part one of the medical taken care of.... procceded into part 2 of the medical and thats when i started getting the feeling that this was going to sink me.

so, everything thus far had been fine... everything up to snuff and ready to go asap.

except... the med officer wouldn't sign off on me being fit for duty...
#1 my right shoulder has had previous dislocations in the past, but since having surgery a few years ago has been 110% with no more problems
#2 apparently my urine sample had traces of protein in it.... his explaination was probably due to having worked out or some other activity the day before.. which i had worked out yesterday such is my routine.

so because of these two 'problems' i now have to travel back home, get into my doctor so he can sign off on the forms... and then get them back to the med officer.

so i just went from being inches away from making the summer bmq, to now having to wait multiple weeks (if not months as I have read) while borden recieves my file and hopefully signs off on it.

oh well.

you still cannot imagine my frustration at this point  ;D

That sucks man, hope everything works out well for you!

Huh, I had my left elbow dislocated when I was 7.  Unless he ask me about it, I don't plan on telling them.

it's on the medical questionare....

any broken bones, surgery etc

i had surgery to correct it... and you arn't supposed to lie on the testing :)

but still, i have 100% range of motion, he even tested my shoulder with range and force try to dislocate it...

i really think he could have said 'it'll be fine' and let me go.

That's suck, looks like you got a tight ass recruiter.  I did not get any surgery though, they only "rebroke" my arm to put my elbow back in place.

eh, what can you do...

i tried... i knew it was going to be a tight squeeze getting in anyways... so this is just one of the hurdles they said might arise.

in hindsight i could have pee'd allover the sample cup though    >:D

haha...

This probly sounds odd, but just out of curiosity, Whats bad about protien in a urine sample?

Be assertive with these guys, your constant attention to these few last matters will not only pester them, but ensures them you are still hot to trot with the summers upcoming trg!

Best of luck!

Regards,

Wes

The Fighting 47th: Protein in a urine sample can indicate things like kidney problems, lupus, hypertension and such. It won't point out one particular problem, but it would indicate that further testing could be required.
