What about the parents?

Hey, I just want to know if anybody else is hesitating on joining the forces just because of their parents... When the time comes, I have no idea what I'm going to say.  It would be fun if you guys could share with me your stories about the trouble you had with the parents.  I know I'm not the only one.

Personally I had no hesitation in joining because of my parents, its my life. With that said, I'm lucky enough to have incredibly supportive parents and although I'm sure they're worried and nervous, they are also proud and excited for me to live my dream. My advice would be to explain to them your reasons for joining and showing them that it is a well thought out decision.
