This question might be answered but I couldn't find it maybe my wording is wrong. My immediate family (mother and sister) is asking me if what benefits they might get if I was in the Canadian forces. I read somewhere that family benefits mean your family as in your wife and kids, not your parents and siblings. I can't seem to find relevant information on forces.ca though.

I remember someone asking about this awhile ago,  from what I remember, they would not be entitled to any benefits unless they are your dependants.

If you are curious as to what benefits there are for a future spouse/dependants you can search the forums/internet for the Public Service Health Care Plan and Canadian Forces Dependants Dental Care Plan (CFDDCP)
http://www.tbs-sct.gc.ca/hr-rh/bp-rasp/benefits-avantages/hcp-rss/hcp-rss-eng.asp - this should be a good start though

Do you mean benefits if you die, or of the medical/dental plan sort?
