For the regular force?

An officer in the CFRC/D will gather everyone into a room where he/she will make a short speech and then he/she will call each enrollee up to the front one at a time.  Then they will be sworn in using a bible (oath) or by the enrollee raising their right hand (affirmation).  The officer will hand each enrollee a certificate and usually a picture is taken.  Afterwards there may be a gathering for snacks and beverages but that depends on the budget of the CFRC/D.  Of course family and friends are welcome to attend.  I always like to ask the families if they have any questions as it gets them more involved.

thanks kincanucks I appreciate you painting a picture for me,sounds great cant wait.

Yeah here in Halifax the only picuture taking was from spouses and there was no food or refreshments.  :(  Oh well it was so nice to see my hubby give his oath though.  So proud of him.
