I VR'd last September from Regular Forces BMQ, and I was told Reserves is an option. When I came out of St. Jean and returned home, I applied to a local unit in my area, and I was told I can submit all my paperworks but it will not be processed until 6 months later.
Fast forward, I booked my FORCE test in June and successfully completed my FORCE test just middle of last month. We were told we would get sent tasks to complete the following day and I did not get any. I sent an email about a week later and received no replies regarding the tasks. A month later, I went in person to the CBG building and spoke to a recruiter who told me there was some mix up and that I would be sent tasks that night. Nothing has been received so far. That was 2 weeks ago.
I did some more further research and found the probable reason they are not replying or sending me any tasks is because they cannot process me until my 1 year cooldown is up since I VR'd before reaching OFP, so my wait time is a year to the day I VR'd (regardless of component). Am I correct in this assumption?
Or, the other likelihood is that since my background check and medical were done only a year and half ago, so they don't have anything for me to do and they are waiting to pass the paperwork to the unit I am applying to when summer standdown ends.
