Social Insurance Number (SIN)
Birth certificate
Birth certificate of any dependants you may have (if applicable)
Proof of marriage or divorce (if applicable)
Proof of citizen or permanent residency status (if applicable)
Transcript for the last two years of secondary school, CEGEP or university completed, as well as for the current year (if applicable)
Secondary school diploma (original, if applicable)
College diploma (original, if applicable)
Certificate of university studies (original, if applicable)

Birth Certificate
Health Card (I also took my drivers license)
Highschool Transcript(s)
Social Insurance Card

I think that's all I took, someone feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Birth Certificate,Drvers Lincense (if you have one),Citizenship Card along with Birth Certificate if you are not born in Canada.
Thats just for starters and the R.C. will direct from there.
Also now you must be a "CANADIAN CITIZEN" to join even the Reserves, being landed is no longer excepted.

Hope this helps.

I didn't bring anything. Just took the forms home, filled them (there's a lot of stuff to fill) and then you will know exactly what to bring, it's written in the doc.

Just to emphasize what Freight_Train touched on, make sure to big original copies of any documentation.  And if you have your SIN memorized, thats not good enough, you need your card with you.  This stuff isn't a big deal if you're only a few blocks from the recruiting centre, but if you've got an hour drive I can imagine it would be a bigger deal.

don't need to bring anything the first time u go, they will explain to you how it works, make u watch a video, give u all the applications and a check sheet of what u need to bring back when you finish the applications.

you eventually will need all the above stuff...

Part of the application deals with reference letters that have to be completed by outside parties, as well as forms that your optometrist must fill in (assuming that you need glasses like some of us!) I'd think it would be better just to get the forms, then fill them all in at home, then return; better to keep everything together. Who knows, once you start doing it in spurts, greater the chances are that something will be misplaced......right?

Some recruiting centres are different, in Toronto all you need is to walk in, do some research and pick up an application form, the recruiting staff will tell you what you need for the next visit.
