I'm almost done my degree in Biology and Statistics. I was hoping to get into the reserves. To be an officer do you need to have already done your degree?
I went into the recruiting office and I asked about bioscience and they told me their was no such trade in the military.

Bioscience Officer does exist,  but it is only available in the Regular Force

To find out what is available to you,  google Army/Navy/Air Reserves in "insert province or city"  and it should bring you to a  website(such as a brigade website) that will list the units.

In the Reserves, to be a Commissioned officer (2LT) you need a completed degree.

To be an Officer Cadet, you need to be working on your degree, and when you finish you'll be commissioned to 2LT. After of course, you do all of your training.

Is applying to be an officer cadet the same as applying as a officer? or do you just ask the reserve unit?

When you first join as a Officer your rank is Officer Cadet.

Find a reserve unit that has the trade you want to join and go speak with them.  I assume you would want to speak with a Field Ambulance unit (medical unit).
