Im in Kadanhar at this moment. We all say Canada takes good care of its soldiers, but where is my christmas present. We have seen alot of people walking around with different offering from canada, but my team and i have yet to receive a card or a gift. Maybe its only cause we are only in country for 3 months. Who really knows? If you got an answer please tell me. We don't necessarelly want the gift, but we would love to know who kept it in our place.

All I can offer is a sincere 'thank you' to you and your comrades on behalf of the members of army.ca.

Tous que je peux vous donnez c'est un gros 'merci' de moi-meme and les membres d' army.ca. :salute:

Stay safe.....

I can say the Archbishop of Halifax asked for thoughts and prayers for our Canadians troops serving in Afghanistan and other places throughout the world during Midnight Mass Christmas Eve.  I hope our prayers and thoughts reached you, and all Canadian servicemen and women overseas and watching our "six" over the holidays while the rest of us celebrate(d).

Happy Holidays from HLs and myself to you and your team.  Stay safe!

:salute:

Ditto to above but to add, Joyce Hillier sent you her husband and other guests for Christmas.

I can't guess where your gift is soldier.............. but from the bottom of my heart, thank you for your gift to me & my family. Stay safe and come home soon.

Regards

Don't have an answer as to where the gifts went but there are a lot of Canadians that are showing their support for you guys by displaying "Support out troops" stickers. You are not forgotten, just overlooked. I am sure you will get your presents.

Stay safe.

From the bottom of my heart thanks to all fellow Canadians for the support shown here on this site and in my personnal email. All we needed here was a show of support and i can honesstly say we got it/ It makes me proud to be here to serve and protect such a wonderfull country. Love and peace to all.

I would think the best solution if you feel your group was overlooked would be to speak with the Padre insitu, If nothing else it will identify the shortfall and correct it for the future troops.

From the bottom of all our hearts here in Vermilion Alberta Thank you, Come Home Soon and watch eachothers backs.

Sincerly, Matthew H. Legare, Helen R. Legare And David Legare

I'm in Khandar too at the moment and I gotta tell you someone in your chain of command is screwing with you.

We've recieved TONS of care packages from complete strangers.  Music CDs, food, prayers, letters from supporting families, thousands of letters from elemetry and highschool kids, MORE food.  We recieved neat little exacto knives from hesco.co, everyone recieved a beautiful zippo lighter with the task force afghanistan crest on it. Little tim hortons hats and quite a few tim hortons cupons which are like gold here.  A buddy of mine got a wicked team canada jersey from his affiliated cadet corps (GGFG)
The amount of support from back home is unbelievable. The message is clear. Canada supports her soldiers regardless of politics.

So what gifts exactly are you talking about?
Are you wondering why people in Canada aren't sending you gifts? (Which I gotta say is comming across like a shit question, like you don't feel Canadians are appreciating our efforts here which you'd be clearly wrong)
OR
are you suggesting that some of the gifts sent over from Canada (ie that zippo lighter) never got to you and you think someone took it?
Seems like a VERY weird question to post on army.ca. Sounds liek something you should ask your chain of command about.

In doing what we ought we deserve no praise for it is our duty
