Phoenix Pay System - Shit's Horrible

The CAF waited for a conviction to stop paying a murderous pilot. Ample legal justification to stop it much earlier. But the CAF is equally afraid.

Not hard to understand... everyone likes pilots, right? ;)

Have they ever considered firing those responsible in a very public manner?
Given that the ADM in charge of implementing Phoenix and the DM responsible for administering the Department at the time both got their at risk pay and their performance pay, I’d say there’s a 0.000000000000000001723% chance of that happening.

Government demanding public servants reimburse years-old Phoenix overpayments

Legal action threatened over money mistakenly paid during payroll system's error-plagued rollout in 2016

Federal public servants are being threatened with legal action if they don’t repay money they were overpaid during the error-plagued rollout of the Phoenix pay system nearly a decade ago, Radio-Canada has learned.

The government has authorized private debt collection companies to pursue repayment from those recipients, some of whom left government years ago and were never informed of the overpayments, according to Canada's largest federal public sector union.

In some instances, tax refunds, tax credits and federal benefits are being withheld and interest is being added to balances, according the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC), which is calling on the government to stop pursuing overpayments that fall outside a six-year limitation period.

As someone who has had and continues to have problems, and who has gotten payments delayed for years without interest, and tax forms corrected half a decade later...

I say a pox on their house. There are as of today 130,000 transactions that are over a year overdue, with no service standards.
