Something like that, only I use the most dangerous weapon of all...This you??
I thought it was "the pen" that was most dangerous.
You're sitting on a gold mine Trebek!
Where does Seaway get off claiming this in the first place? I thought that Davies was the go to firm for ice breakers or are all the CG ships planned for Seaway rated and to be used 12 months a year?I take issue with their claim of being the "leader in Icebreaker shipyard", currently that honour lays with Irving who has built 6 icebreakers in recent years. That will change later.

Maybe because Seaspan has more icebreaker contracts than Irving and Davie combined?Where does Seaway get off claiming this in the first place? I thought that Davies was the go to firm for ice breakers or are all the CG ships planned for Seaway rated and to be used 12 months a year?
But how many delivered in the last ten years?Maybe because Seaspan has more icebreaker contracts than Irving and Davie combined?
Irving
Davie
- 8 AOPS
- 1 Polar icebreaker
- 6 Program icebreakers
Seaspan
- 1 Polar icebreaker
- 16 Multi-Purpose Icebreakers
The day will come when Seaspan is Canada's leading Icebreaker builder. But that day is yet to come.
AI says this: Kvaerner and Aker Solutions merged to become a single company called Aker Solutions. This merger, completed in 2020, combined their strengths in oil and gas and renewable energy project execution, engineering, construction (EPC), and technical services. Aker Solutions now focuses on reducing climate gas emissions from oil and gas installations and developing renewable energy solutions.Who inherited the Kvaerner Aker design shops in Vancouver?

They’ll be having to build another one soon enough. And jetty replacement at Esquimalt plods along …..![]()
They won’t come to that realization till after the new subs and corvettes start arriving. Now that Jetty B is completed has A Jetty been dismantled? And how many years until A is completed? My guess is that Protecteur will be commissioned long before that date and will be docked at Ogden Point. They’ll be having to build another one soon enough.
Protecteur's home will be B jetty. It's not like any other ships really used A Jetty that much. My concern is the lack of ability to go alongside at the ammo jetty. That's gonna be one big PITA for ammoing the ship by barge. From the orginal Protecteur's experience it taks at least a week at anchor to do.They won’t come to that realization till after the new subs and corvettes start arriving. Now that Jetty B is completed has A Jetty been dismantled? And how many years until A is completed? My guess is that Protecteur will be commissioned long before that date and will be docked at Ogden Point.
