Hello everyone,

just wondering if anyone has any insight into COT process and what the limitations are if your on a PCAT or TCAT, the canforgen doesn't specify either but the DAOD specified a no go for TCATs

The minimum medical standards for occupations play a strong role in the COT process. Even if you have a TCat or PCat what really matters is whether your MELs and medical category profile allow you to meet your trade’s essential tasks, deployabilityand universality of service.

Based on your posting you hurt yourself on SQ, potentially didn't pass your trade course, and are now looking at different trades?

In another post you mentioned:

My tcat is just for "PT at own pace" due to a herniated disc from a SQ course last year I'm still fully operational otherwise.

Can easily get removed I'd imagine once reviewed

If you just have a tcat for pt at own pace talking about a COT seems out of place. Why would you need a COT if you're just doing PT at your own place? Story is missing some parts.

Lots of back story and SQ injured me for life. But I'm still able to be operational and I could pass a FORCE test right now if I wanted too not that they are hard or anything lol and I'm currently enrolled In the hardest course book wise in the CAF so they say, I haven't been recoursed or anything as of yet but have a PRB coming up and I know what my 3 options will be and I'm also aware that a TCAT blacklists you from vot of COT until lifted.

I guess I'm wondering what a Pcat would do? At this point I've been in the military just shy of a few months from two years and this has been my first time on course because BTL wait times are insane and the multi factor fuckery that goes on admin wise which any seasoned caf member recognizes.

Nonetheless I digress. I just want a new start In a new trade cause this sure as shit isn't what I signed up for even though I worked as acting lacking corporal for the last year and a half leading, teaching, completeing tasks wirh precision and diligence that's what I love. But I'm not book smart enough to complete the course even though I can do the job lol anyways sorry for the rant.

As they say if you aren't griping are you really even in the military? Haha

Also I'm being semi vague to retain anonymity my apologies.
