I agree that America is its people and I agree that greater than 60% of them would still be classified by us as their friend and by them as our friend.
But currently America is not 'We the People' but 'Me the Leader'.
Currently, at present state, our best direction is to stay the course and see how the chips are played by the American people come the end of the mid-term elections. Three outcomes may occur -
1) The results are such that nothing changes for us. Things will be neither worse, not better and thus we need to survive until Jan 2028 and see what happens next.
2) The results are a resounding defeat for Trump and his form of governing. Impeachment proceedings move at a rapid pace forward, censorship of Trump follows and he's a neutered dog for the rest of his term. In that case, best for us to move cautious, don't gloat, assess who our 'champions' (if there are any) are in the US and be ready for Jan 2028 and possible improvements between us.
3) The results are a resounding victory for Trump - he has complete control over both the Senate and the House and things move quickly down hill for us. This is the scenario where being a right mad honey badger will be necessary. Close ranks and wait for Jan 2028 and see what may come our way.
