Trump administration 2024-2028

SCOTUS has released today’s decisions, no decision on tariffs yet.
Maybe they're hoping to kick the can down the road until after the midterms so they can see what the new political landscape looks like (i.e. do they have to continue to cow to Trump or will Congress have their back in challenging his power?)
When you delay standing up to authoritarianism, you are giving authoritarianism more time to entrench itself and to consolidate power.

I mean, is it really much of a question anymore that things have gone off the rails when the White House is referencing a book full of praise for Adolf, written by a prominent American neo-nazi?

America chose this.

And they will choose it again.

America had a dose of Trump. Prices got high, and they chose this again.
The American voter is such a fickle creature that they will choose MAGA for round two, and round three, and round four if the democrats so much as do one little thing to piss them off.

ANY other country and a party that went down this path would be banished to the political wilderness for time immemorial. This strain of MAGA will be around waiting for their next opportunity do this all again.

I pray we never trust the Americans again.

You oversimplify the problem. Prices got high, AND the border was essentially opened to mass illegal immigration, AND Democrats pitched a fit when illegal immigrants were transported to their cities, AND Democratic local governments found reasons to excuse the public disorder resulting from minor lawlessness, AND the administration wanted to give billions in relief for student loans, AND the president was manifestly unfit for the office, AND the second candidate was also manifestly unit, etc.
The American voter is such a fickle creature that they will choose MAGA for round two, and round three, and round four if the democrats so much as do one little thing to piss them off.
But the Democrats are not settling for one little thing. Various luminaries are making threats to pursue "show me the man and I'll find you the crime" policies. I suppose they imagine they can wield that rhetoric as a small "nudge" and then step away from it, but in reality that is at least a major cause of continued voter intransigence/anger and at worst the end of peaceful transfers of power.
