All Things AB Separatism (split fm Liberal Minority Government 2025 - ???)

Here you go. Article on the results with a citation to Statistics Canada.

There’s a major distinction between Foreign Direct Investment in Canada that packs up and leaves Canada, and capital outflow from Canadian capital being invested overseas. The former is indeed a sign of Canada becoming a less attractive investment climate… The increased FDI capital inflows recently reported by StatCan suggests those concerns have decreased.

The latter is Canadians deploying their capital to invest in (buy) foreign assets. Canadians buying up stakes in foreign businesses is difficult to articulate as a bad thing. It’s not money flowing out of Canada with no benefit; it’s Canadians geographically diversifying investments with ownerships takes in overseas ventures.

What about Canadians buying up portions of foreign businesses worries you?
Your eager to come at me, fair enough, I don't mind.

Lets deal in some numbers,
$1-trillion gap between Canadian direct investment abroad and foreign direct investment (FDI) in Canada as of 2024
$1 Trillion is a lot of money.

Lets talk tangible results. Canadians don't give a flying F*ck about "statistical data" that says X or Y. Yeah stats matter but needs context. Now, I speak for people affected (not me directly but I have friends and family who are). NO ONE cares about a news article like this when they work 2-3 jobs, can't feed their families, visit food banks, struggle to pay rent, borrow money for gas so they can go to work (Not every Canadian has public transportation available), hopes to make the electrical bill, etc.

Bottom line, the Liberal government has failed miserably. Again and again.

Not really. It was just super easy to find. The picture you dismissed as bullshit’ already gave us the bit starting hint of ‘Statistics Canada’. Figured I couldd help the discussion cut to the chase.

If you didn’t ‘give a flying F*ck’, why did you ask where it came from? I answered what you literally asked with the correct into as well as added context.

K. I was just replying to the bit about bidirectional FDI figures.

Failures at the federal level make the AB/Western separatist movements stronger.
Agreed. The separatist movement if it keeps moving forward will eventually gain unstoppable momentum. I predict if Alberta gains serious headway on this, Saskatchewan will be in line with them. And Quebec will jump aboard as a chance to exploit the mood of the fractured under liberal rule nation.

And if it comes to pass, people will be stunned asking "how did that happen?"

My solution to killing separatist movements? I look at the past. Elect a majority Pierre led CPC government that implements their agenda and poof! I bet separatist movement will evaporate. In 2011, when Harper CPC won a majority, the Bloc was down to 4 seats. Funny that.
