Soldier Operational Clothing and Equipment Modernization

Im willing to give the new logistik system a shot before I pass judgement. Ive heard tell that the clothing project is one of those easy wins that was previously underfunded but good to go so itll be getting a large influx of cash, accelerating delivery. We shall see. Fool me once....haha
I have the new base layers - 9.5/10

Ive heard amazong things about them. Everyone seems to love them. The only complaint in my neck of the woods is that the average sizes at clothing stores quickly ran out.

Yeah, 'ran out', we'll go with that ;)

Hows the disco shirt? Im hearing rave reviews.
The only complaint is the brown mesh looks worse than black mesh. However after a full day of sledding in the mou trains, complete with a lot of digging my snowmobile out, I would dry out the base layer in not time at all. Thats on my body under layers as well.

So I've been looking for a visual representation of this for awhile. Some of the new uniforms tend to be more brown, while some are more green. The two Guardsmen in this picture are wearing the same uniform.

Either looks better than the relish camo IMO.

I like this new camo colour-scheme with emphasis on brown or a lighter green vs the old relish jar look

But I think I like the cut of the old combat uniform more (just from how it looks like it fits)

Itty bitty Canadian flag on the one shoulder, and we could roll up our sleeves in the summer for all the COMRAL events we got tasked with ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ’ช

i get the idea behind putting the velcro patch on the arm (I'm assuming it's to help quickly identify section mates & specialists like medics, JTACS, etc?)

But all these brigade/regimental patches just seem like more shit to lose out in the field - not to mention they all seem pretty brightly coloured...not good if you're trying to avoid enemy detection...

...

Anyways I get there will be more sizes & the new shit is gonna be the shit - I know I know...

Just think the stuff we were issued in the late 2000's looked like it fit more comfortably than this new stuff ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ

We, as a general rule, dont wear the bright Velcro patches in the field.
