Canadian Rangers Issued Kit List

I joined CRPG this year and cannot find a document stating what is issued and what is not. I get conflicting answers depending on who I ask and a lot of it seems arbitrary. It sounds like there is a document on DWAN but I certainly don't have access.

Anyone have any insight?

Here is what I have gathered so far with comments:

• Red Hoodie x 1
• Red Tshirt x 2
• Red Ball Cap x1
• Red Toque x1
• Red fleece x1 (I am told these are no longer issued)
• Red Ice Parka x1
• Red Rain Jacket x1
• Green thermal bottoms x2
• Green thermal top x2 (I didn't get these "they were out")
• wool socks x4
• sock liners x4
• CADPAT Small Pack x1
• Duffel bag x1
• Black Boots x1 (I didn't get these "they were out")
• Brown Boots x1
• CADPAT combat pants x2 (The ones I was given are almost see through from being so worn and are a 38 and I need a 34 LOL)
• CADPAT Rain Pants x1 (I didn't get these "they were out")

I got about half of this when I was at CQ and a lot of it was pretty janky. I was also told we are not being issued rank slip ons, name tapes, division patches, rangers patches, flag patches, or id discs which seems off to me.

Hey, I joined back in December. Took FOREVER to get sworn in. I first applied in 2017 and was just ignored, apparently.

Anyway, I've got most of my kit now. I was told the fleece was a single order run so not really issued. If you can get one, they're still authorized for wear. I didn't get thermals at all, or the ice parka or toque. I got one sock liner and 3 woolies, but my PC gave me a bunch of extras he had. Along with my Small pack I got a butt pack and two small strap-on packs for the small pack. I also got two sets of shoulder straps and no hip straps so not sure what's up with that. I got two brown boots, no black. I read somewhere that CAF is phasing out the black boots for some reason or other. Fine by me. I did get a duffel, but it was shredded by the time it got to me, so I sent it back.

i also got a high vis vest labeled Canadian Rangers.

I have a pair of old 1st generation (exposed button) CADPAT pants in size 34 if you want them? Send me a PM if you do.

Not sure why you were told you weren't going to be issued rank slip-ons, name tapes, or other patches. I was issued a rank slip-on and I'm told to expect the rest at some point soon-ish. Hurry up and wait kinda stuff. OH! Rumour has it the new MCU for the Rangers will include the OTW shirt (work shirt, etc...) you can find from Milcot as "Digi-red". They're comfy and really help with temperature management under gear.
