Four SPEIR were purchased. So three for the ships and one for training. Its the one you labeled on the first image (Mk 20 ?? label). Those squares are likely spotlights (not which is why there is one on each wing and one astern).

Not entirely sure what other things you labeled are on the other images.

Its difficult to ascertain what 'smaller' devices are intended to represent on such a model, if one does not have a prior classified (at present) knowledge.

Reference spotlights - yes - that is possible. However in my (granted outdated) experience is the seachlights are combined with signal lights, and they are typically located on the bridge wings, and not on top of the bridge, as depicted in that model. The model has them on top of the bridge. Now thats not to say (1) seachlights will not be put ontop of the bridge in the River class, nor (2) the model representation inaccurate. .... I think we simply don't know, so in a speculative sketch, I speculated as such could be SPEIR. Frankly, your spotlight view is just as likely as mine.

Now reference SPEIR and the Mk20 EOSS (nominally assigned with a BAE 5-inch gun), I note from marketing literature, SPEIR typically consists of multiple NFOV (where I speculate the Mk20 being one - but I have read NOTHING to confirm that) and SPEIR also consistes of multiple WFOV. So i would wager a subtantial amount that the Mk20, if it is part of SPEIR (which is by no means certain) is not the only NFOV in the River Class SPEIR configuration.

But this is all good speculation in my view - its interesting to hash out the various views. In a subsequent post I post some sketches/pix frrom L3harris marketing material on WFOV and NFOV for SPEIR - as that is of interest - although a caveat there - the marketing info is deliberately a bit vague there - I believe.

I wish the model (in the great images posted) had higher fidelity - but we have what we have.

I find the model resolutions of the River Class, while MOST INTERESTING, don't have 100% the fidelity that one may wish to be positive as to where the NFOV and WFOV for the SPEIR implementation on the River Class may be located.

And after all - there are many other aspects on this interesting destroyer procurement program of interest.
