Sure. In a few more years there will be a presidential election, and Trump will not be a candidate let alone the victor. If the Democrats manage to nominate someone sober (who could probably not be any of the candidates currently amusing the prediction markets), they will most likely win; otherwise, I expect Rubio or maybe DeSantis to compete, to beat Vance in a primary, and to win the general. The Republican party will continue to be the party that is almost entirely in favour of constitutional status quo, and the Democrats will continue to be the party that advocates reforming Congress or Senate or the USSC in ways that amount to "whatever it takes for us to hold the balance of power, preferably in order to govern by executive order". The Senate, House, courts, military, and federal law enforcement and other agencies will not have become obedient creatures rubber-stamping the decisions of a Republican president. If most of Trump's trade protectionism hasn't already been zeroed out by courts, or perhaps by Congress, it will be allowed to die whenever Republicans have the power to do so and reassert their historical position as being the party of free trade.

Damm, it's time to get rid of numbered companies and shell companies. Along with all directors/owners being public. The light of day is always a good cleanser and legit companies and directors would not suffer.

The goal of our enemies (really Russian under Putin) has been to debilitate us into inaction and apathy.

If you look at the Russian influence operations over the past two decades - what do they try to do in America?
1) The efforts in 2016 where designed to help DJT win - because it was viewed that he was more likely to remove/reduce Sanctions against Russia
— ironically he was one of the largest proponents back then of reducing dependency on Russian oil and was in favor of arming Ukraine
2) Support to grassroots nationalist Americans and MAGA candidates to try to foist conflict and extremism (and similar support to extremist Democratic members/candidates as well. Rooted differently to hide the true source
3) Create disillusionment with the Government, Elections etc.

The Republican party will continue to be the party that is almost entirely in favour of constitutional status quo, and the Democrats will continue to be the party that advocates reforming Congress or Senate or the USSC in ways that amount to "whatever it takes for us to hold the balance of power, preferably in order to govern by executive order".

The problem we have is that parts of the party are regurgitating Russian propaganda, mostly unknowingly, but some clearly got money.

Some have done considerable harm to the American state out of blindness, ors stupidity, and others greed.

That applies to the Soviet Union as far back as approximately the end of WW II. More of the same, which is why I probably come across as insufficiently excited about these things. There were probably many more people sympathetic in a multitude of ways more directly to the USSR in the early part of that time frame, some in government.

Foreign powers aren't the problem. Americans proclaiming the president, the Senate, and the USSC to be illegitimate and prepping the 2026 and 2028 ground by claiming Republicans are going to cheat should be the worry right now.

Assume the people who claim allegiance to the DSA mean every word about what they will do. Consider that they are winning Democratic primaries in safe districts. Between them, Trump's base, and foreign powers, what is the foremost threat to America?

There's really nothing wrong with numbered companies. Basically any time a business is registered it is assigned a number by the relevant corporations branch. A "numbered" company is merely one where the owners didn't change the number to a pretty corporate name and it just continues to use the branch assigned number.

Shell companies - ones with no significant assets or operations - can be used to hide beneficial ownership or legitimate purposes such as limiting liability (yeah, I know some of you think that isn't legit, but it is)

If you're travelling around with anyone important and think you're as important as them, that delusion is on you...

I don't get the hay people are trying to make of that situation. It would have been the same if it was HM The King, or PMMC. The others are less important than the leader... Not because they are lesser humans, just because politically their loss is less critical.

More realistically, it's likely that the moral cost of representing an unpredictable and obviously corrupt president isn't worth the financial gains anymore. Everyone has a breaking point, and it's likely she has reached hers.

Making it obvious that the POTUS wasn't on the plane would have created new security issues.

I get it. Nobody likes to know they are just a number, but for 99.9% of humanity it's reality. The people on that jet should have known that, so I don't buy the nothing burger swap as reason for the resignation. It makes great headlines for the unwashed masses who have main character syndrome though...
