On Pierre Poilievre as the leader of the opposition, thats who and what he is now. Coming on here and ranting and chanting about who should or should not be the leader of the opposition is doing what now? Getting it off your chest? OK, done. He is still the leader of the opposition and so far has actually been doing a good job. Maybe some credit goes to the Liberals, they have people going on and on about the leader of the opposition party.

I was around for 2004-2006, I remember Harper being labelled as a total loser, a Bush wanna be, a dictator in waiting, Harper never, it goes on. People swore up and down he would never and should never be the PM. And many comments of how the CPC needed to ditch him (after all he LOST the 2004 election, what a total loser, right?)

Look at how history unfolded.

Select and maintain the aim.

How about we start scrutinizing the government and how effective (or not) they are leading this nation?

Maybe the thread should be renamed federal parliament 2025-2029 so we can talk about all parties in it, and not just the LPC.

That "3.3%" growth is based on the .08% growth in the second quarter of 2026, and is the projected annualized growth IF this growth continues.

We haven't felt the effects of Trump's tariffs yet.

So what if John Ivison is bureau chief of Ottawa NP? He has been correct and incorrect several times in the past, he is human.

You’re 1000% out, mathematically. It was 0.8% quarterly growth, not 0.08%. You shorted the Canadian economy’s growth by a factor of 10. I know you want to make Carney seem like he’s doing nothing, and Poilievre would be much better, but that’s a bit much, even for a self-proclaimed asshole.
