Police Folk Allegedly Behaving Badly

New York Knicks GIF

Dear RCMP, a negligent discharge off duty into someone's home is actually a big thing. À police officer not competent to handle a firearm probably needs a new career outside policing.

You can buy ballistic bullet traps that are about 11x8x1" you can confirm the gun is unloaded and point it at that when clearing the firearm.

Dealt with it internally... Good stuff.

Let the double standards continue...

I think we're talking about the same thing

Or you can just safely clear the firearm like the 2 million civilian firearms owners who don’t have negligent discharges into their neighbours homes who don’t have ballistic traps or anywhere near the amount of training a RCMP officer has.

There's different rules for different folks my friend.

Some animals are more equal than others.

Several of my friends have the ballistic trap, they carry it in the range bag and use it as required.

I also had to explain bullet setback to a number of LEO's. I am surprised they don't teach that at the academy/Depot (or they forgot).

The other major question I have which the article indicates but doesn’t definitely say is it seems that this officer didn’t report what happened. From how it was worded it took the neighbours landlord raising a stink to cause it to come to light.

If that is true that is almost as bad as doing the ND because that means the officer is not trustworthy or capable of admitting mistakes.

Mistakes happen, there can be major lessons learned from them which makes a individual much better for it. Hiding those mistakes isn’t a good thing.

Not checking on your neighbors after putting a round into their house is quite the POS move by the officer. Only reaching out to the couple after they posted pictures on Facebook is a POS move by the Sask RCMP.

Wild ass guess, if they came down too hard on the officer they run the risk of them pulling the sick leave trick and then bang they're short staffed as a result.

Clearly, these people don't understand how the old boys' network operates...

Fierce criticism as it emerges rapist cop was PROMOTED after attack allegations

A rapist police officer was promoted after his arrest for an alleged attack on a woman, it has emerged.

Campbell Petrie, 50, carried out a string of sex crimes including rape during his 16-year reign of terror.

He was convicted of a total of nine charges involving physical and sexual abuse of two women between 2006 and 2022.

Don't expect accountability.
