Cdn Army (Vehicle) Colours

Would this be a good color guide for getting paints? I'm looking at getting an M113A1 to start, then doing a Lynx and Centurion done once I have some experience off the M113A1 because both will take some serious customization from the models that are available so I want to do them right lol

I'm afraid I'm not the one to ask about colours. Having said that, I was corresponding with the RCR officer who was responsible for painting the camouflage scheme on their newly arrived M113A1's in Germany. He told me that the paints used were obtained from British Army stocks.

This is a photo of the newly painted M113A1's at Fort York, Soest. Call sign 33 is the lead track for the third platoon of C company, which was 2 RCR's Corps of Drums.

The author of this site has a huge amount of photos of 4 CMBG, vehicles and personnel.
Some are in colour, which may be of some help, although you will see some of the aformentioned dirt and dust.

Ill definitely need to check those out, im struggling on which camoflauge to use now, im seeing by the mid 80s we switched to the SCAPP NATO 3 color scheme on a lot of equipment but the green on green is really nice too

Do you recall if the Centurions also got the NATO 3 color scheme or were they just the green on green before phasing out ?

As well as would these headlights and fuel tank be a good representation of the Canadian Centurion? This is off a 3d model I can purchase and print the accessories I need

You're just not going to give up, are you. I would suggest you visit the modelling site called missing-lynx. Lots of info on Canadian Centurions. I also learned a lot from Maple Leaf Up, which is now defunct. Might be available on the wayback machine. Look online for links to Jason Bobrowich and Centurions. He's done a lot of modeling work which includes the paint schemes. FInally, see if you can find a copy of this two-disc CD on the Canadian Centurion. I haven't seen it myself, but it was made by TrackJam Models, 4 gbs of pdf's and jpeg's.

PS: The headlights from the 3D model might be okay for a Canadian Mk11, but not the fuel tank or the IR light.

Oh of course not, the Centurion is just going to take a lot more time then I realized to do right, so im going to buy a few different 3d models and get the pieces I can get. Then make from scratch the pieces I can't get. The M113 idea started because I learned my opa was a Lynx guy at one point and I always really loved those, so if I learn how these RC M113 are put together I can buy a second one when the APC is done, and build a Lynx from a 3d print and a gutted RC M113. The Centurion will be worked on in between the Lynx and M113 as the Lynx is completely custom, the M113 is also 100$ cheaper then the Centurion which sadly right now is important lol I need a Centurion anyway or my M113s will be almost defenseless in the battles around my neighborhood lol
