New RCN Fleece

Clarification from the base Chiefs office in Halifax. It can be worn over the NCD jacket, as such toques and gloves allowed.

Ah... the never ending saga of how a fleece jacket can be worn. I still recall with fond nostalgia the matter of the "goretex fleece" (as coined by a certain RSM) back around 2000ish and how if worn it was to be somehow crammed under your O.D. combat shirt, and only when in the field. It was a tough time; transitioning from the O.D. "jean" combat jacket to the gortex version... this crazy fleece fad really threw a wrench into all things dress and deportment back then.

I wonder now how that other fleece that many ships have been buying and worn at sea will be treated.

The only problems I ever had with clothing had nothing to do with SOI and everything to do with SOB Sup Techs.

Problem would be solved, at least for the RCN, if the CAF followed Halifax Tar's advice and got rid of purple trades: Then the RCN would have Storesmen (Storesperson) instead of Supply techs.

The RCN's biggest problems aren't purple, they're NWOs.
