Realistically if you start adding people at a high rate you need the support services in place first.
You try to grow and or be ready to pivot Provincial and municipal services. Once that is close to completion then you attract the skills required for the given expansion you are looking for.
The tough part is attracting the skills required for the expansion. If you can not attract the skills then you attract people who have good potential for those skills. This growth takes time and lots of resources. Especially when your on the international scene.
Unfortunately governments at all levels need to bring in workers/ immigrants that will compliment the process. Instead they have been bringing in lots of people who do not fit the requirements. For the many who are close to fitting the requirements there are to many hoops to jump through. Diverting them into other fields of work. Which is limiting the road to growth.
Now with the US governments anti Canada rhetoric. It is causing some of our skilled force to go south for the time being. They are also on the international scene recruiting the same groups we started a few years ago.
Who are you talking about?
