Trump administration 2024-2028

The thing is, the US is one of the largest arms exporter in the world, and also relies heavily on all kinds of other exports, including software, cloud services, and all kinds of other high value products.

Flipping that kill switch would harm Canada for sure, but would also wipe out Silicon Valley, every major US defence firm and all kinds of other industries for generations as no one would ever trust them again. Microsoft, Apple, etc etc would all crater internationally, and the impact on stock prices would wipe out a lot of pension funds. It would be global financial suicide.

Canada and the EU are already developing our own satellite systems for this risk, as we saw the impact on Ukraine from access just being throttled, but that's just the tip of it, and this kind of thing would impact trillions of dollars worth of assets.

Trump's tariffs are already an act of self harm making US goods more expensive, but this would make them unusable and untrustworthy across the board.

It's not just the Arms industry.

Its Banking, Social Media, Business capabilities. That CDN ICC Judge has had her complete life up ended. No credit cards, no access to her social media accounts, nothing.

With the significant movement of people from left leaning states like California to right leaning states like Texas, this is also to be expected. You can see the trend in your graph from 2018 onward. This should not be earth shattering to anyone paying attention to all the details.
Really? It wasn't that ICE being assholes in the Rio Grande Valley that made the majority Latino population turn on the GOP en masse?

Or at the Kansas State Fair and the Dem and GOP Senatorial Candidates were debating and the GOP dude crows about wheat prices being so high and a farmer yells "Diesel is at 6 bucks you asshole!" To the cheers of the crowd.

Or that Trump is COS playing as a Porn Star at his rallies and turning off the normies?

I think our southern neighbours are done with the grift and graft and are in the throw the bums out mood.

If you want to ignore the steady rachet to the left by all means, Other examples of the ratchet include New York City now being lead by a Muslim mayor after being home to the single largest terror attack on American soil... by radical Muslim terrorists.

Of course Trump suffered losses in the mid-terms, this was highly predicable. Every president can expect this, add the Trump effect (his perceived performance by at least half the voter population), the migration trends from blue to red states, and the overall ratchet left... this result is not unexpected nor shocking. Almost every mid-term is a punishment to the incumbent.

If you get your dopamine hit by all things negatively impacting Trump - have at 'er.

So it begins. Vance is explicitly saying a lot of Republican voters showed up but didn’t vote Republican, and is attributing the loss to ‘the war’, and says Trump himself admitted it last night. He has begun to distance himself from one of Trump’s signature policy plans, and I think is also lining up the bus at Hegseth.

Wow, HUGE drop in oil futures, significant drop in U.S. ten year treasuries, and the major U.S. stock indices are up a couple percent each. Looks like the markets like the outcome.

You portray it as something normal, within statistical norms, that every president should expect.

I would be interested to see your receipts for inter-State emigration-immigration CA>TX. If anything, one would expect Californian Republicans to be the disaffected folks moving to a red bastion like Texas.

According to the comments Trump and company are Russia's and Israel b*tch. That takes some doing...

There was a report (which I can pull up if you want, but since we're just throwing around unsubstantiated conclusions I don't feel like I need to) from a little while back that explained that the migration of people from California to Texas were net "Republicans supporters", and that any increased "left leaning" in Texas is home grown, and NOT the result of immigration from "blue states".

Now that the Lone Star state has fallen , is the Sunshine State the last refuge of maga?

That's quite the stretch. Polarizing, sure. Trump was one of the most popular celebrities in the US prior to entering politics. By now, you can't seriously think the massive corrupt and sustained media war against him has had zero impact to the present perceptions. Trump has said and done many things that are divisive, but the media campaign against him has been unprecedented. Winning the information war is a game changer.

Yes, I suggest every president should expect to take significant losses at the mid-term. The historical record demonstrates that to be true. Of course that doesn't wash away the Trump affect (his polarizing behavior), in fact it demonstrates that even with the Trump affect, blue migrations, and media influences, his total losses are remarkably within historical norms.

Have you considered that instead of all these conspiracies like "blue migration" (You share no convincing proof) maybe Trump just lost because he didn't fulfil his promises and essentially has been a terrible president this term?

I mean he literally saying that Harris would start a war with Iran, but then he did...

He said gas and inflation would keep going up under Democrats, but it went up like crazy under him.

And these are just some of the most obvious reasons....

I mean common man, even JD Vance can see what happened here, go read his most recent X post, Trump has run a terrible two years that have been absolutely nothing like what he ran on.... It's been a completer disaster.

Senate currently stands at 54(D) to 44(R). We may see that moonshot of 56 seats.

Mississippi is so close it's going to be a few weeks until it gets figured out.

Alaska is currently leaning Democrat with 75% in.

The House projection is currently looking like 258(D) to 177(R).
