It is hard to fathom what is going on inside the Leafs locker room right now.
They have the talent. They had the Panthers by the throat up until mid-way game three. And then they just stopped playing. I don’t get it. Is it the lack of playoff experience? The playoffs are a completely different style of play than the Regular season. The Oilers seemed to have learned this and have adjusted well.
BTW, the Oilers have won their last 8/9 games and Stu Skinner has not been scored against in 127 minutes of play. They advance to the WCF with a bunch of days to rest. If Ekholm makes it back into the line up, the Oilers will be formidable for either the Stars or the Jets.

At least go into Sunrise Florida and leave everything on the ice. You might get beat, but at least you will have your self-respect.

I think they did that on Game 2, Game 3 I believe broke them losing in OT, as they really have not shown up in Game 4 or 5, and getting absolutely destroyed in Game 5 probably doesn’t bode well for going into Florida tonight.
Caps took a page from the Leaf’s game last night. The rather bizarre goal roll back at the start of the second seemed to have crushed them.
I say bizarre, as if they had been offside for 19 seconds before the goal and it wasn’t indicated, had they known it would have been possible to either take it out of the zone or to tag up before getting the shot.

Next Dragon is a road win. I'm at 50 50 that they can pull this off.

I’ve said it before- the Panthers will probably win Sunday night (probably 2-1, maybe in OT).
But, Toronto is just quirky/weird enough that they just might defy expectations and win game 7. I think the Canes would clean them in the ECF, but that is getting ahead of ourselves.
