They have to deal with "suffocating Canadian wildfire smoke". We have to deal with a 'suffocating American dumpster fire president'.
Fair's fair.
Yup, that may very well be the stupidest thing I've seen all day and I'm at work so that's saying something....
Except for the NW part of BC, we seem to be holding steady and low for fires with most dealt with quite quickly. However, our crews have been pulled from Manitoba (something you guys should not be too quick to forget) but I’m thinking maybe this province is in the calm before the storm.
I first noticed the smoke around 02:30 at work at HSC at first I thought it was mist.As of 0600 this morning Winnipeg is under a haze of wildfire smoke at ground level. Our inmates are forbidden from using the sports field due to the AQI - Air Quality Index.
Love that 3 letter acronym!!!
I suspect that air that comes in chunks probably isn't all that healthy. As of 0600 this morning Winnipeg is under a haze of wildfire smoke at ground level. Our inmates are forbidden from using the sports field due to the AQI - Air Quality Index.

I noticed...le sigh. Yesterday was watching planes coming out of it landing at YWG - they were becoming visible at about 300ft or so...The smoke is like fog here this morning
We’ve got smoke from Oregon and Washington state here in the Okanagan.Have they tried tariffing the smoke?

The Republican lawmakers called for an investigation of Canada's wildfire management practices and for potential remedies under international law.
They should read the agreement. The words 'investigate' or investigation', or any manner of grievance enforcement, are not part of it.Like the cheesy commercial says, "but wait - there's more!"

It’s been a quiet year in BC
That's about 200 less fires than an average season...and BC often has busy late summer/fall seasons. It’s been a quiet year in BC- we’ve only had about 1000 fires that have burned up about 750,000 hectares.
I’m sure if David Eby could, he send some smoke down south just out of spite.
