    All things CF98 (merged)

The UGSO is not a guaranteed, depending on your type of organization. I am a UGSO of a Civilian dominated organization and I am not in the CF 98 CofC. I see/get the DND 663 which includes the same information and witness statements. The CF98's are sent thru the CofC and them PA to pers file and...

    Benefits Cut...

We lose good people very day. As they fall to the side other people step up and new people join. You make contributions and sacrifice to the CF but once you leave they are a distant memory brought up at reunions. Your Creations, SOP's, Policies are changed or modified with the new people wanting...

This is way the CF and government operate. We are our own worst enemies. I feel your pain but in the end it will be a small bump in history. There will always be something along the way. There were many an event like this through my 23 yr career. i.e In 1990, as a young private with a family, I...

I can see the reclassification of pers on PAT as in the 90's to critically short trades, if there are any. I remember a couple AVN Techs and MPs offered Cook or MSEOp or release.

Retire from CAF and entering Fed PS [Merged]

Priority Hire can really only work if the applicant is qualified for the position advertised and has skills. They must meet Statement of Merit Criteria. If not, there is no priority over a more qualified applicant. We had a young infantry soldier, that was getting medically released from...

    CANFORGEN on Pay and PIL

This is an important piece. There is a few in the PS that got lost in the mail and they now have to wait until retirement. If you do have to mail this in, send it registered mail. Hopefully there will be a more efficient  ::) system with the CF.

    CANFORGEN on Pay and PIL

I am assuming that it will work as it did for us in the PS.  The severance will be calculated on the Pay (IPC) as of 1 Mar 12.  If you elect to take severance on retirement the payout will be same amount as it was on 1 Mar 12.  As the above e.g.  it would be Sgt IPC x. As of 1 Mar 12 it not grow...

    CANFORGEN on Pay and PIL

No return, you will just not have any tax liability. You would not get any more severance accumulation (1 Mar 12) past this point. You will have the option to take it now, portion of or wait and get it on retirement.

Allowances - Post Living Differential (PLD) [MERGED]

Good luck. I feel your pain. In the old days you did not have any advance warning until you received your pay and a big chuck was missing. In my experience you will need to pay this back. You can usually soften the blow by requesting by memo thru the CoC to pay back in installments. Your admin...

In the meantime, have her raise a DND 663 Hazardous Occurrence Report, because there is a potential for injury and even death, and send up CofC.
