Apple says its iconic founder, Steve Jobs, has died

I didn't agree with his business practices really, but the man was (arguably) one hell of a titan in Silicon Valley.  I'm not too worried about Apple as a company though, they've been preparing for it for years, and Tim Cook has a very good head on his shoulders.

Need some help...looking for a Laptop

I currently have a 17" laptop, they're great for movies, and gaming, but OH MY GOD to travel with this thing is nothing short of a pain in the <insert favourite appendage here>.  Asus is just finishing releasing their U36 lineup which have full powered processors, ultra slim designs (Not quite...

    An Awkward Question

I'm looking forward to seeing a follow up from the OP in regards to the answer so it can help others that haven't felt comfortable asking it.  I know 2 current members who do have it, and from what they've mentioned the symptoms for them really aren't enough to hamper their abilities to perform...

    Official Battlefield 3 Thread

Figures, the great games are coming out while I'm starting course  ;D  Oh well, gives me something to look forward to after I get posted and settled into my new house when I'm done.  I'm hoping my gaming notebook can handle it, though if not it does give me a good reason to build a new custom...

Mk III Combat Boots: Use, Maintenance & Other Stuff.

I still use boot blackener (Which is apparently still in the system), works good enough for me and anyone who's done my inspections.

I call you or you call me?

I usually gave them a call about once a month during my recruiting process. It seems to be the happy medium between "I'm still interested" and annoying a recruiter.

The brown Temperate Combat Boot (AKA: Mk IV Cbt Boot) - No longer CADPAT

    Much appreciated, multi-topic advice...

In regards to the oustanding debts, about a year ago I was in the same position.  The recruiting centre had me get my debt management agreement in place and requested they have at least 2 receipts for proof of payments towards the program and a copy of the actual agreement itself to prove I...

    Best route for JTF2?

http://www.jtf2.forces.gc.ca/rec/index-eng.asp The JTF2 Homepage is the best route to plan, it has specific details of their recruitment and selection process.  I stopped in at one of their info sessions when they happened to be on base just to see what was going on, and they basically said as...

Man launches $1.1 million suit over conviction of crime Paul Bernardo..."

Well, if I were him and 100% certain of my innocence, I wouldn't care remotely what my lawyer said and would plead not guilty.  Call me cruel but if you plead guilty for a crime you didn't commit, you don't get a payday.

If you're not a local, don't Swim in the Ganges

That's unfortunate for that young man, but not surprising considering the Ganges has something in the range of 120 times the faecal coliform bacteria per 100ml than Western nations consider safe.  Those locals must have one aggressive immune system.
