The rucksack is a piece of junk.. i cant wait to get the ones.  Mine has broken and unsewn straps everywhere i cant believe it actually holds itself together. I would exchange it if i knew how to put it together but the thing is a nightmare.

The section commander will decide who gets what.  Usually, The C6 or C9 will go to an experienced cpl who handles these weapons very well.  But some units will just "dump" them to recruits.

I joined when i was 16... never wanted to be a sniper or JTF-2 ninja or whatever.    All i wanted was to become the best soldier i could.    I dont think wanting to become a sniper is a very good reason to join.   With time, and experience, the army might take you to that level but in no way...

I have a question to add.  How is a typical day on tour for a 031?  Do you have to wake up at 5 AM every morning and then platoon level PT?  Or is this on your own?
