    Green Gortex Boots ?

For starters, she says in the description that they are the current issue WWB.Second off she states that the color is black. It's probably just a photo error. You can get Gortex boots in all types of colors and patterns.Just go to any hunting\outdoor shop and take a look. Also, does anyone have any...

Your in the same boat as me in regards to all the new shiney kit.I'm here in Wx at a second line unit so we'll be the last to see any of it.I still don't have the tac vest or any of the other fancy stuff discussed here. :'( Small pack system would be nice for those short trips to the field...

Wet Weather Combat Boots: Use, Maintenance & Other Stuff.

I really don't like the "black" sock.I find that my feet slip around in them and this causes me to get awful blisters. I love the new grey sock.Combined with my orthodics and Danner boots it feels like I'm walking on air. There thick, warm and always soft.

    Pattern 62, with mods

I use a 64 pattern frame with the 82 pat bag, yoke and back pad.On the valise straps and the straps of the main flap I've mounted fastex clips, to cinch it down the pack even smaller.I also mount my hydration bladder either under the main flap,or outside with "aligator"straps. I'm thinking I...

CFHA Residential Housing Unit (RHU)-old PMQ [MERGED]

Alot of people live on base for various reasons. It could be convinience(I for one like leaving for work at 0745 and still make it on time to have a smoke, chat, get a coffee and start at 0800),cost of local housing(the property around Wain world has sky rocketed with the influx of people),or the...

Purple Trades: Definition & Trg Discussion

EME is Army owned.Period At one time in our life,EME (or more accuratly LORE)existed in the RCAF as well.Thats why we have light blue as one of the colors on the branch flag. After spending 2 years in Borden on PAT,I hav'nt seen a single non-army tech pass through the school, and highly doubt...

    Non-Issue Kit

Good points for both sides. Since I already admitted to being a gear slut,I'll try my best to remain impartial and carry on a proper conversation. Your statement referance"you dont need gucci kit to be effective...."is a sore point with me.Yes,you are right, most of the issued kit is all you...

In regards to non-issue(kitshop) kit?We all understand that you can't waltz around in another countries uniform on ex but with all the options of "snivel kit" that exists out there, where do you draw the line? I was talking to one of the local reserve guys today and the topic of kit came up.He...

I've scanned through, but maybe I don't understand the whole concept.Everyone talks about this"point system "that you can redeem for kit.The only thing I get when prompted for payment is visa or mastercard.where can I find how many points I have accumulated or is this a reserve only feature?
