Hi, New to the forum. I'm in Edmonton Alberta. Just wondering if any of you use your own ruck sack. Personally I have a pattern 62, with 4 Cadpat pouches. It has 2 c9 drum pouches, 1 canteen (with knife, and flash light holder on front), and a Bren pouch. It's pretty good, and works better with a hydrapack.

Welcome to the Forum.....I think you'll find many custom rigs in use by board members, I'm sure some of the proud owners will be along soon to discuss them with you.

My condolences on the whole Edmonton thing; no need to apologize for that here.  We're pretty open minded.  ;)

I got a '64 pattern frame, with '82 pat bag, shoulder harness, and a homemade lower back pad that forms to the '64 frame. And when wearing my ruck, I attach my camelbak to left side of my rucksack.

it's really nice being able to add and remove pouches. I find this really nice, since most of the time I'm using a C9 and don't away carry extra drums on my rig, but on my ruck. sometimes nice, do you have any pictures?

I use a 64 pattern frame with the 82 pat bag, yoke and back pad.On the valise straps and the straps of the main flap I've mounted fastex clips, to cinch it down the pack even smaller.I also mount my hydration bladder either under the main flap,or outside with "aligator"straps.
I'm thinking I might get one of our Mat techs to make me a kidney belt as well.
Welcome to the board.I'm down here in Wainwright.
