09/10 Budget Impact on PRes - Unit stand-downs, Class B Freeze, and so on!

Thank you for saying that.  And I'll add - because I'm still feeling the sting - when a company goes bankrupt, their sub-contractors don't get paid either.  AND, they don't get the money back that they invested in tooling and/or employees to meet the contract they signed. How would you like to...

    Ex-Ontario Attorney General Reported Arrested

Christie Blatchford's take on the situation (as usual - I tend to agree with her): http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/in-a-city-of-drivers-and-cyclists-at-odds-the-one-on-the-bike-is-always-right/article1272873/

Contributor to Washington Times: "Canadians too cowardly to fight"

He probably stole the reference from one of the young barmaids at his favourite pub - but his use of it in context is rather impressive.  :)

    Unknown Badge

The original poster mentioned that his buddy was being "smart" about it. Sounded like a friendly rivalry of some kind to me.  As in "You don't know what this badge means?  I'll bet you can't find out" Happens a lot - especially when there's beer involved.

    Deviated Septum

Actually - if you did a search you DID find the answer - you either ignored it, or didn't realize it WAS the answer.  The answer is exactly as Cdn Aviator has stated - only the medical professionals who will assess you at the CFRC can make the determination. Locked unless someone's got a good...

09/10 Budget Impact on PRes - Unit stand-downs, Class B Freeze, and so on!

Welcome to the '70s, '80s, and '90s. I'm sure the taste it leaves in your mouth is just as bitter as it was back then. Can someone who's plugged in post a link to a CANFORGEN or CANLANDGEN?  (Even if it's only available on the DIN, and therefore not to me, it may be helpful to others who are...

Based on this conversation:  http://forums.milnet.ca/forums/threads/26691/post-169822.html#msg169822 the CANFORGEN you seek was issued in late '04 or early '05.

Have you read the site Guidelines?

In mid-July, Mike implemented a software feature which was either a result of the latest upgrade, or a previously unimplemented feature, or one he wrote himself (I'm not sure which). It's a "parallel, but not equivalent" form of our current warning system.  An outline of how it works, as...

    Bankrupcy - pro i contra

I know all about being house poor - been there.  But I didn't go bankrupt over it. I see your point regarding an existing Clearance - although I'm not sure either.

"Kurdish music star may sue OPP after dramatic highway arrest"

Who or what is "STING"?  And how is having played with him/her/it relevant to police officers receiving a report that a person is waving a weapon around in a vehicle?

    Bankrupcy - pro i contra

According to your posting history - you've been in, and posted to Cold Lake for two years.  How the hell did you go bankrupt?  Obviously not by spending money on remedial spelling courses.  And why don't you already have a Security Clearance? There's more to this story (and story is what I...

How did you meet your spouse?

If you're mostly having fun, it goes by pretty damned quick.  Hopefully, the next thirty will be just as fun.

How did you meet your spouse?

Still with her.  We married in 1980 - next year will be our 30th anniversary.  Her Dad became one my best friends and a primary influence in my life.  It tore me up when he passed away - I was in Afghanistan and couldn't make it to his funeral.

    Woman stranded in Kenya sues

Actually - there are probably thousands of cases to compare hers to.  All those people who had problems of whatever kind whilst in foreign countries and were helped out by the local embassy or consulate.  I haven't done any research - but I imagine that most cases are amicably and favourably...

    Woman stranded in Kenya sues

The two cases are not remotely similar, mariomike. As much as I agree our Hong Kong vets got the shaft - inserting their case into this discussion is a red herring.
