If it is a weekend course, it could be held at Mewata or the NE Armoury. I haven't heard of a weekend course being offered. If you get any official confirmation, can you PM me. We have a few soldiers who need the BMQ.
That's the process for the Regs. It is different for the Reserves. You can parade with your unit without SQ or even BMQ (though you are limited in what you can do). Since you only have experience with the Regs, why do you answer questions on Reserve training?
No, you can't enroll in the Reserves as a permanent resident. You must be a Canadian citizen. You would not be too old at 33-34. I have seen 40 year olds, enroll.
This has been discussed in this topic.

IIRC, they did 1 rapid BSE test in Edmonton, when it came back non-negative, they confirmed with a second rapid BSE test. When that came back non-negative, they have sent the samples to Winnipeg for the more comprehensive test.
Sherwood, this cow is 10 years old. The feed ban came into effect...
I hope not. The CFIA had informed the USDA of the potential positive before the USDA made their announcement yesterday.

OTTAWA - The Canadian Food Inspection Agency expects the U.S. to go ahead with plans to reopen...
I can only speak to what we have done. Currently there are 2 non trained officers and what has been done, it to include them in as much as we can. This includes lectures on map and compass, field craft, orders, etc. We also utilize any special skills that they have from the civilian side.
IIRC you still should ask the CO's permission. Even though mess dress isn't an uniform (because you bought it), it still is a military order of dress (No 2s, I think). It could still reflect badly on the CF, if you wore it inappropriately.
IIRC, RESO as an entry scheme hasn't been used for a couple of years. As a potential Res Officer, you need BOTC, which is BMQ and an additional leadership element. For various reasons, you take the BMQ with the Pte (R). The timing of that depends on when it is being run. BMQ can be done...
Nope. IIRC, it had something to do with standards and course reports. That PO had to be done that weekend because of training aids. I think it was gas hut training.
Just to clarify, the 2 individuals did not complete the BMQ, not the 5 day adjunct. One of them, is a good parader, just had to miss a critical weekend. The BMQ was inflexible to allow them to miss that weekend and still pass.
Yes I'm sure about that. We had 2 junior officers on a BMQ last winter. Unfortunately neither of them could finish, due to work commitments. My Adjt mentioned the 5 day requirement to qualify them BOTP.
