Ran right into the ambush that has been set up by our junior leaders.  The lads, having been warned off to hit the first veh into the KZ, lit her up with the C6 and such. She hit the lights, dropped into R for Rocket and took off at a great rate of knots. LMFAO! That story just made my sunday...

I'm most likely wrong, but I heard (and I must be wrong) that some average? pay for an employee at one of the big 3 is on the average $67 an hour?? This can't be true of course.

Well, I was with Duke's Coy from 82 to 88 before LOTPed. Glenn was a good friend of mine. Kevin, I knew in passing - he was more of a friend of my uncle who was in pioneers. Glenn was separating from his (common-law?) wife before I left. What happened to both I wish I knew. Tried searching...

LOL! Man, glad to see it just isn't me! I've had at least 3 or 4 pair of ankles boots over the years since 1982: and each & every pair squeaked. I've turned some in for new ones; tried soaking 'em; etc; I've had no problems with combat boots; CF shoes; jump boots; kortex boots; desert boots...

:warstory: underweight...took 6 months to gain minimum of 3 lbs...and I had always ate like a horse (which eventually caught up with me in my mid 30's ). 'Course that was in '82. 

Just curious, I wonder if an old CO from 2RCR helped to make this a reality? About 10 years ago, we had a CO who was a black-belt. He set up a TKD trg about +3 times a week for morning PT in the drill hall for those interested. I trained for 2 years, but put it on hold after I sprained both...

Well, just in my own case, i was a bit of a partier before I joined just 4 weeks shy of my 18th B-day. In my case, the military helped grow up and open my eyes (though I still partied a bit while single  ;D  'work hard, party hardier' - in the 80's anyhow). When family asked me where they think...

Thanks Vern; wish I was still in Gagetown to attend. Told my wife this AM (she was the CC at 3ASG / I was BMC at the time with Ian at 3ASG). She was saddened and a bit shocked in that Ian was no older than mid to late 50's we believe. Ian'll be missed.  :(

Wow, sad news indeed. I knew Ian when were at 3ASG; he taught us purple trades NBCW trg; toets etc. Was he still in uniform? My condolences to his family & friends. Good soldior and easy to get alone with. RIP Ian.   :cdn: :salute: :cdn:

I joined in 82 as infantry, so not a YTEP, but a lot of my buddies came in a year later as YTEP'S. We use to call 'em chicken mcnuggets - take a case which regiment I belonged to.. ;)

We call them WOMEN............. , but for god sake forget about the swirl! Forget about the swirl???...wasn't that a Seinfield episode - the swirl being a 'technique    ;D

Be interesting to see how all this works out as I'm in the same naval reserve unit as the first post by wamoine. I 'retired' as a sgt after +24 reg service (infantry, then LOTPed to med a) in Aug 06 to follow niner-domestic here on her last posting for her 20 regs. I'm  class A at the unit doing...
