I would not shed a tear if Irving oil had to scale back operations and take a big hit in their pocket books over importing oil from over seas. They are one of the major if not major groups stopping Energy East pipelines.

I don't think it would be as hard to staff good paying jobs there. People would move there if they had sustainable jobs. I think if you build it they will come to that place.

We could get a better deal if we had more pipeline capacity. The US has been buying oil/ natural gas cheap from around the worked and selling it at a profit for decades. If you look at the pipeline protest and the major source of funding behind them it makes a person wonder.
