If you ramp up energy sector exports alone, and add LNG which is non-existent right now, you might add another hundred billion to these numbers...

I am actually against a tax cut, simply due to the fact we need to reign in 60 billion in overspending as is (let alone starting to pay back our debt).

It is childish and selfish to do such a act and it screams desperation from the Conservatives.

Always worth a detailed look, but south of us, they also learned some "foreign aid" was helping keep a grip on ISIS prisoners, so gotta be careful about chainsaws and broad brushes. Beware unintended consequences ....

Something I'm confused about.

Several people here, and many more on other SM platforms, have claimed that Carney was Trudeau's "shadow economic advisor" for neigh on 5 years or so, and therefore the economy of Canada will suffer the same under Carney as it did under Trudeau.

However, those people claiming such are also the same ones complaining that Trudeau is an egotistical narcissist who consolidated power within the PMO and ran it like his own little authoritarian dictatorship.

So which is it? Was Trudeau calling all the shots, and Carney will be fresh air (or at least, new air)? Or was Trudeau not entirely to blame for the economy?

Is it? Trade with Bangladesh has more than doubled in the last few years or so. 1.3 bn dollars worth in exports. Potash being our main export.

It’s one of our major export destinations for that.

It’s Westminster style country that is friendly to us and can likely open doors in India and other markets in Asia and south east Asia due to its strategic location.

Not to mention the massive amount of refugees they take in from Myanmar. Easier to invest a bit to keep them local.

Our assistance likely helps keep out “others” from filling that void.
