2025 Federal Election - 28 Apr 25

The 338 site seems to be down...

As of this post, yup.

Could just be swamped with folks getting in.

The site’s been under cyber attack. The French version is working. https://qc125.com/canada

Man I'm super mad about the direction of the election but all that behavior is just gross. Lining up outside polling stations and harassing people serves no purpose and it punishes people for voting which is stupid.
On Matt Janes behaviour. Leave the old fart alone to his views and opinions. He has an opinion and he is entitled to it. I defend a man who is obviously die hard liberal because I want him to have the right to be that guy, as I am equally an asshole on the other side of the spectrum. I will say though, in this day and age of EVERY phone being a tool of amateur journalism, be very careful what you say and do. If it goes on the internet, its on there forever.

It's not that people are any MORE idiotic than they used to be, but now, WAY more people can find out just how idiotic any person can be pretty quickly.

I dunno man...I think people, on average are probably dumber today than they were 20 years ago...

Not necessarily their fault. (Except for people. For some, it's absolutely their own fault!)

But yes. I agree. Idiocy can spread faster than a wildfire these days

I should have been more specific -- there's likely about as many people doing stupid stuff/stunts as there were in past :)

EKOS has published their final poll, and are predicting a Liberal majority of give or take 184 seats.

EKOS were the first to identify the massive Liberal swing in January, and also predicted some subsequent decline, which has been borne out.

Results, data, and methodology here: EKOS Predicts Liberal Majority

Tomorrow night/Tuesday morning, Frank Graves will either be vindicated as polling well ahead of the curve, or his reputation as a pollster will be toast.

I think regardless of the outcome, Singh is toast. His alliance with the Liberals served no real purpose except to show the rank and file NDP that they were backing the wrong horse.
Do you believe a CPC majority or an LPC majority would be better overall for NDP supporters whose support is based on policy objectives?

338 is back up, and a incredible 13 seats are potentially in play in AB as either C/L toss ups or C/NDP toss ups. Which i think is those most we have ever seen for AB in a federal election.

I've found it quite interesting driving around this election cycle as the rural areas are heavily placarded by PC signage and are mostly what you visually see. That being said I have to give kuddos the NDP for the digital media ads and LPC for the social media ads I don't see the PC's doing.

Travelling into Edmonton this week into the NW corner of the city it was blue suburbs...and the only election sign I saw inside the city was an NDP. To fair I was mostly on main highway and had to focus on city driving vs. rural driving but was really surprised at how little presence I saw from any party.

I still maintain that a party that is not actively taking every advantage to promote and be seen is a party that quickly becomes irrelevant. That includes assuming "it's a safe riding so we don't need to do much" or "we have no chance of winning so why bother investing" spectrums.

I know a blue rock will win my riding. I'm more interested in what percentage of win exists for alternatives in future.

What a wacky election campaign it's been and my greatest happiness tomorrow will be derived from the knowledge that all those awful TV ads, from all parties, will go away.

I'm guessing we'll see a Conservative Minority government emerge from the chos, but I've been wrong at calling these things in the past of course...

... just like the official pollsters ;)

Clearly a CFP minority with a libratarian opposition
