Don't think Tom would ever come back to the NDP. From the way he talks, if he got back into politics, I am pretty sure he would be Liberal.attempt to woo Tom Muclair
I don't doubt it, they stabbed him in the back when he tried to make them relevant.Don't think Tom would ever come back to the NDP. From the way he talks, if he got back into politics, I am pretty sure he would be Liberal.
Does that include a Province? At some point in the not too distant future I can see a potential leader for any one of the parties telling the special interest groups:
"Go piss up a rope" or words to that effect.
Oh I certainly hope so. I take it you're referring to that NDP bastion of BC?Does that include a Province?
For awhile there, the Provincial NDP wanted little to do with the Fed NDP.Oh I certainly hope so. I take it you're referring to that NDP bastion of BC?
A lot farther East, near Ontario!I take it you're referring to that NDP bastion of BC?
Maybe the leadership race will provide an opportunity for provincial dippers to cut themselves loose from the control the federal NDP has over their operations and bank accounts. Maybe. For awhile there, the Provincial NDP wanted little to do with the Fed NDP.
Yves Engler is a pretty hard-core true left believer - interesting Ouija Board take
For the love of god, BC needs to just sell its liquor stores already and get out of the retail business…Just in time for Thanksgiving....
All B.C. government liquor, cannabis stores behind pickets as strike escalates
The escalation by the union also includes all Service BC workers, raising the total number of members participating in job action to almost 25,000.

They would make more, with less headache, by selling all the retail outlets (the interwebs says there are 198) and just concentrating on the distribution warehouses.$1B annual revenue to the Crown says otherwise![]()
I recall the ALCB retail workers union had a nice little gig going for a while in Alberta where they would go on strike just before summer, every year like clockwork, causing a beer shortage. The BCEGU doesn't give one shidt how their strike affects small business owners of restaurants/bars.
It's money, money, money for their mbrs and frick the taxpayer who pays their bloated salaries/benefits.
I have met David Eby. Nice enough human being, but without John Horgan’s touch. Trying to wrangle a caucus that has weird ideas about how economies actually work (and a “coalition-lite” with the BC Greens, who can break him in a second, if he even pretends to like resource extraction) in a minority situation with the opposition breathing down his neck.Eby wants everyone dependant on the NDP, so he control.
