The pics with the trees and buildings don't really look like Yakima, more like Ft Lewis IIRC. Mind they could have build a village/MOUT site there since I was last on the gorund in 1980, but I don't think you could have put a pine forrest like that in a dessert in just over three decades

Awesome photos Skeletor, thanks again.

Makes me jealous though, as I'm chained behind this damn desk!  *throws desk over*

Great pics.

Everyone is wearing Multi-Cam. Does this mean the US Army has come to it's senses and binned the ACU.

The US Army folks I was recently serving with stated that Multi-Cam is for deployed ops only....

I believe you are correct, as some captions(for the wooded area and MOUT site) say they are training in Joint Base Lewis-McCord, other captions may be saying Yakima by mistake.

The UCP pattern's days are numbered.  Right now the US Army is nearing the end of deciding on the next camo patterns - 1 for woodland, 1 for arid and 1 for transitional areas.  I believe they will announce the new camo patterns in June.

For the conventional Army,  Multicam/OEF-P is only for pers deployed to Afghanistan.

It was intersting to see USAF and USN folks wearing Multi-Cam in theater as well. USMC is wearing thier original desert "cadpat"

Multicam is pretty popular for deployed pers now it seems(plus SOF for the last few years),  not sure if some USAF pers are wearing their tiger stripe uniforms while deployed or not anymore. When the US Army chooses the new patterns,  I wonder if the USAF, etc will follow and adopt the same patterns.  Seems some US Gov't people aren't too impressed that every service has it's own individual camo patterns.  I heard some people also want the US Navy blue/black digital camo to go away, due to safety.. as a man/woman overboard blends in very well with that pattern in the water.

I know MARSOC wears Crye Precision made woodland(old school US woodland) uniforms in Afghanistan as well, not sure if their Recon/FR pers are doing the same or sticking with MARPAT like the rest of the USMC.

A few months ago in KAF (and I'm assuming Bagram, etc.) the US Army and USAF wore Multicam.  The USMC kept their MARPAT and the USN generally wore their "woodland" version of that NWU Blue-Gray thing.  Of course, things may have changed.

Yea, I forgot about their AOR(?) camo patterns,  kind of hard to keep track of it all.
