From the perspective of "deeply fractured US", if scandal in Minnesota were being blown open right now with Walz as VP, the fracture would not be getting smaller.

I can't easily find a choice to prefer between a self-dealing president - with or without a foundation or a family business - and a self-dealing political party.

Realists acknowledge the need for beak-wetting in political money streams, but how much is tolerable?

I'm just a casual visitor, so I don't claim to know every post of every user, or anywhere close (That would be an insane amount of effort, LOL) but it certainly seems some members like Quirky (And a few others who are pretty obvious) like to go hard on justifying everything Trump does. Am I missing the full picture? Perhaps. It's just what I noticed the odd time I catch up on what's being posted here, and I do enjoy a lot of the content as it's an easy place to catch up on some of the news.

I've asked these members several times if they are die-hard MAGA / Trump supporters and all I've gotten in return is insults, and no evidence to suggest otherwise. I would assume since no reply when asked has ever suggested otherwise, they indeed are.

You can't view their profiles, so it's not like you can check to see if they've ever had other views. It's just an observation, after all this is just an open chat. No disrespect intended - and if they are legitimately pro-MAGA pro-Trump Canadians, their opinion is respected. I'm just pointing out it sure feels like they are an echo chamber of the latest MAGA views, which I think is very fair point and fair response to their posts.

Alternatively, if I was some hard left LPC / Pro-JT echo chamber, I would say it would be pretty fair to call that out as well (Not that case).

Quirky is a serving CAF member. He’s said enough about himself that attaching a name to him would be super easy for a few members here if anyone cared to, but there’s no reason to. He has spoken at length on other subjects within his scope- fixing fighter jets, fighter jet stuff in general… There’s no need to fear he’s not an authentic CAF member, whatever one may think of his views as expressed on this site.

If this article is accurate it sounds like the CBP agent(s) who shot them may have them left the scene? One of the two gunshot victims apparently called it in himself.

Lots to wait and learn on this, and I expect lots of sketchy info. Also expect Portland to go full Portland.

Might that simply be the medical facility the victims were brought to after they called for help?
