I have an interview this wednesday and I have a question.

Originally at the Fort York armoury, I signed up for both the weekend and summer program. Now, some work plans for the summer just came up and now I would like to change to just the weekend program.

Is it too late to change to just the weekend program and how will that look on the interview?

Also, when does the weekend program start?

i guess the best person you should ask this to is your recruiter or....anybody at the recruiting center

try that first ,dude :cdn:

If the recruiters think you'll make a good troop, they'll amend your training.  As for dates, that's up to the unit/Brigade running the training.  The recruiter will inform you of your options.

I suggest you tell them ASAP so someone else can fill your spot on the summer course because if they don't (& you waited until last minute to tell them) the unit you've joined gets "fined" & looses that money because the spot wasn't filled.  If that happens cause u waited to tell them, they won't appreciate it & they could screw you around for courses.  So you should've told them like yesterday & say that you'd be able to do the weekend BMQ in the fall, then your SQ & BIQ in the summer.

The fall weekend BMQ usually starts late september/early october & sometimes they have one that starts in january. Those dates haven't been established quite yet. But, i hope i've stressed enough, tell your recruiter right away that you cannot do the course you were loaded on.

By the way, what unit at Fort York?

If you haven't yet done your interview, there is a chance that they might not have you slated yet for a summer course. Speaking of which, how far along are you with the recruiting process?

As far as I've seen, weekend basics start during the fall.

Yes, which unit at Fort York?  :)

Queen's York rangers and I told the recruiter on Tuesday (Monday they were closed) and they said not a problem.

Oh well, won't hold that against you!  ;D But glad things turned out & have fun when you do start your course!!
